As You Like It – Open Air Production
An enchanting open air production of Shakespeare’s play by Burnt Out Theatre in the gardens of the beautiful and historic Burnt Norton House, near Chipping Campden, in aid of Multiple Sclerosis Trust and Pepo La Tumaini Jangwani. Please bring picnics and rugs. 20 and 23 June at 2.00pm. 20 and 21 June at 7.30pm. 22 June at 6.30pm – Gala Champagne Reception.

Winchcombe Pottery - Britain's most famous craft pottery
Winchcombe Pottery, set up by Michael Cardew, has been producing useful domestic wares for over eighty years. It has always been a team effort overseen by Cardew, then Ray Finch and now Mike Finch; many potters from Britain and elsewhere have gained valuable practical experience working there.

Performance/Repertory Contemporary Dance Class
Age 15+ with some dance experience. Five classes taught by Artist in Residence, William Crowley, working on an ensemble piece to be performed at the Festival Performance on Saturday, 20 July. Each class will start with 30 minute warm-up/Graham Technique followed by 90 minutes performance development.

Drawing Dance and Movement
Penny Vigers, well-known drawing tutor and community artist, will be holding three drawing workshops during William Crowley’s personal rehearsals. The workshops will appeal to keen artists with life drawing experience who wish to develop/hone their skills.

15 to 19 July Mornings (90 minutes)
Contemporary Dance Class (Graham Technique)
Five classes taught by Artist in Residence, William Crowley, for all ages and abilities - beginners through to regular dance class participants. Technique focuses on core strength for a great abdominal work-out. Classes will start with Graham floor work, followed by movement and travelling exercises and a short final combination.

Pina, film directed by Wim Wenders and supported by Chipping Campden Film Society
Wim Wenders’ acclaimed tribute to German choreographer, Pina Bausch, who died in 2009. The film gives intriguing insights into Pina’s vision, vitality and other-worldly qualities. Her innovative dance designs are a joy to behold.

Beautiful Bodies in Motion: A Century of Dance in the Visual Arts
Image-based talk by Celia Lendis of Celia Lendis Contemporary Art Gallery. Celia will demonstrate how visual artists throughout 20th/21st centuries have been seduced, inspired and fascinated by dancers, and how dance has impacted on the development of Modernism and Post-Modernism.

Motionhouse performance of Captive and Beyond the Global Stage
Motionhouse, one of the UK’s leading contemporary dance groups, will present their new piece Captive, a dazzling blend of dance and aerial work performed by four dancers in a cage. Artistic Director, Kevin Finnan, will also talk of his experience of choreographing the 2012 Paralympic opening ceremony. Food and Drink available on the night.

Contemporary Dance Workshop for 10-15 year olds
Taught by Rosie Dixon, the class will involve a warm up, floor work including using the floor, travelling combinations and a short routine. The young people will then have the opportunity to develop the ideas they had been working with themselves.

Dance Through Life - Festival Performance
The evening will feature performances by Festival Artist in Residence, William Crowley, new work by Rosann Torley and by Festival Director, Licette Gus; one of these inspired by fashion label Paper London’s 2013 Spring/Summer collection. The week’s Repertory/Performance class will also present a piece from the repertoire of William Crowley’s company Next Step Dance. Dance Festival poet Dominic Doran will perform and John Lendis will exhibit the drawings he has made over the week as Visual artist in residence.

This husband-and-wife team are best known for their stunning artistic jewellery based on leaf and flower forms highlighted by this exhibition. Also on show will be examples of their work as illustrators. The Gaskins worked mainly in Birmingham but moved to Campden in 1924.

Emanuel Ax originally captured public attention in 1974 when he won the first Arthur Rubenstein International Piano Competition in Tel Aviv. He is now one of the world’s best-loved pianists renowned for musicianship of the highest quality and performances of enormous integrity. GofH: a century of fine silver in Campden
This exhibition will celebrate the on-going craft traditions of The Guild of Handicraft and in particular the Hart Silversmiths Trust Project to conserve, catalogue and digitise the important collection of over 3000 drawings produced by Hart’s workshop over the last century and encourage their use as a major learning resource.
